HTV Care instructions for your HTV decorated shirts, masks, pants and pillows. Caring for your HTV decorated items is easy. These tips will help you maximize the life your personalized clothes.

• Do not wash for at least 24 hours. HTV needs time to cure. Heat activates the adhesive on heat transfer vinyl. So, this heat allows the adhesive to sink down into the fibers of your apparel. After application, the adhesive needs time to harden and cool without interruption. Thus, if you wash and dry your apparel to soon, there’s a good chance the vinyl could peel or crack.
• Do not dry clean. HTV should never be dry cleaned. The harsh temperature and chemicals used during dry cleaning do not mix well with HTV. But, this is not something most have to worry about. Unless applying heat transfer vinyl to work uniforms or something similar.
• Wash and dry garments inside out. Turning apparel inside out, gives the vinyl a layer of protection during the wash. During the wash and dry process clothes are rubbing up against each other. Thus, the abrasion during washing can cause your vinyl to peel.
• Choose cold or warm water temperature settings for the wash. Do not wash apparel with HTV on them, in temperatures that exceed 178 degrees Fahrenheit. High temperatures can weaken the adhesive on the vinyl which can cause the vinyl to peel or crack.
• Use mild detergent. Detergents that are “green” can be too harsh for the adhesive on HTV .
• Avoid bleach and fabric softeners. This will assist in making the vinyl last as long as possible.
• Dry on a low/tumble setting or hang dry. Do not dry your HTV items on high heat. If you use the dryer, tumble dry or on low heat. If possible, hang dry your HTV items for the best results. Hang drying will reduce any wrinkles you see in HTV after washing.
• Do not iron heat transfer design. If apparel requires ironing, use low heat and place a towel or cloth over the design. High heat on the vinyl can melt the vinyl and/or burn the adhesive. Regardless, ironing on vinyl is a great way to ruin a shirt.

Return/Exchange Policy: This item is a personal item and is nonrefundable. This garment is hand made and customized. Therefore, orders have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Once the garment begins production (approximately 24 hours after order is placed) it is not possible to cancel the order. Custom/personalized items are nonrefundable. Items are only available for exchange if damaged in shipping. If an item is damaged upon arrival, please contact Impress Athletix, LLC immediately. The garment must be sent back to Impress Athletix in order to be exchanged.
